Starting on Monday 13th May I am going to reveal all of my knowledge, tips and techniques that I used to get started on my own running journey, and the amazing outcomes that you can achieve with running such as getting fit, increasing your confidence, reducing stress and weight loss.

This free 'Learn to Run' course is for you if:

  • You want to run but believe you can't

  • Tried to run in the past, but for whatever reason, never quite managed to stick with it

  • Lack the confidence to dust the cobwebs off your trainers and take that first step out the door

  • Feel embarrassed that people will stare at you and laugh if they see running

  • You want to have the confidence to hold your head up high as you run in your local area.

  • You want to live longer and are scared of developing family health issues e.g. heart disease, diabetes, stroke, being able to look after their loved ones, not be a burden

  • What you need e.g. what trainers, sports bra etc

  • How to breathe when you are new to running so that you don’t feel as though you are dying

  • Common running mistakes beginners (and experienced) runners often make

  • Female specific strength and conditioning exercises to help prepare your body for running

Who Am I and Why Listen to Me?

I'm Nicky Edwards, a Physiotherapist of almost 20 years. I am mum to my two gorgeous children age 7 and 13. I play hockey and am a crazy runner who loves a race medal and running for charity.

I've run the London Marathon 5 times, the New York Marathon and the Berlin marathon. In 2024 I ran the London Marathon just over 9 weeks after lung surgery!  I have been part of the medical team at the London Marathon, so have experienced marathons from both sides of the fence.

As someone who started running later in life, I know the struggles faced when starting out. I know how much you want to get started and how frustrating it is that “life” gets in the way. That is why I am passionate about helping other women start, and stay on track, with their running journey.

I help women age 40+ run faster, further & stronger and stay injury free by training in harmony with their female physiology. We lead crazy busy lives, so I teach women to train SMARTER not harder and still SMASH their goals!

I am the official Expert Physiotherapist for the London Marathon.  I speak at their 'Meet the Experts' Day and on the Centre Stage at the London Marathon Running Show. I speak about how to prevent injuries, marathon training, female specific training, perimenopause and menopause as well as how to stay safe while running.

I volunteer for the charity Children with Cancer UK supporting over 1200 marathon runners to ensure everyone gets to the start line of the London Marathon every year.

I'm an experienced public speaker and speak at large running events such as the National Running Show, on topics such as training, nutrition, hydration, women's health, overcoming adversity and mindset.
