Have you signed up for a marathon and feeling:
๐โ๏ธ overwhelmed by all of the information about what you should or shouldn't be doing?
๐โ๏ธ unsure about how often you should train and how to train?
๐โ๏ธ worried that you don't have enough time to fit everything in and that you won't be ready in time?
๐โ๏ธ confused about all the dietary advice - low fat / keto / fasted / carb loading / supplements / gels?
๐โ๏ธ terrified that signing up for a marathon was the biggest mistake EVER and you are going to fail?
If you answered Yes to any of the above 'The 3 Secrets to Marathon Success'
webinar is PERFECT for You!
I am doing this webinar as a fundraiser for Children with Cancer UK - a charity very close to my heart as my daughter's friend sadly died of leukaemia just before his 8th birthday. No child should ever suffer this cruel disease and no family should suffer the devastating loss of a child. We need to keep fundraising to support families and vital research so that all children survive childhood cancer.
โ
This is part of my fundraising for the Berlin Marathon on 24th September 2023. This is a fully self funded trip and every penny you donate will go to Children with Cancer UK.
The cost is only £5 to attend the live webinar, and £10 if you would like the replay emailed to you after the event to watch it again as often as you like.

Who Am I and Why Listen to Me?
I am a Physiotherapist, keen runner and Mum to my amazing 12yr old and 6yr old. My favourite running buddy is Cheyne, my beautiful German Shorthaired Pointer. I founded my bricks and mortar business, Chiltern Physiotherapy, a Physiotherapy and Pilates Clinic, in 2008.
โโ
As someone who started running later in life, I know the struggles faced when starting out. I know how much you want to get started and how frustrating it is that “life” gets in the way. I have had numerous injuries, operations and a complicated pregnancy that have stopped me from running and I have had to start over so many times! That is why I am passionate about helping other people start, and stay on track, with their running journey.
I am heading into my 3rd year volunteering as the Physiotherapist for Children with Cancer UK's London Marathon team, helping all 1000+ runners get the start line is the best condition possible.
โ
I have spoken as an expert about marathon training (and I have a particular interest in female specific training) at the London Marathon Running Show and the National Running Show.
Since 2020 I have completed 5 marathons (London x 4 and New York) and I'm due to run the Berlin Marathon on 24th September 2023 and the London Marathon in April 2024. I specifically didn't write that I have 'ran' 5 marathons because in 2021 I walked the entire London Marathon 10 days following gynae surgery due to a cancer scare. My point is that you don't need to run an entire marathon. There are so many different ways you can conquer this challenge.
I'm also known for completing marathons wearing crazy fancy dress outfits such as a sunflower and the 'Bell' costume for Children with Cancer UK.

Explain the biggest mistakes that I see new (and even regular) marathon runners make and how you can avoid them โ

Teach you about the different types of runs (easy runs, tempo runs, intervals, long runs etc) and why you need to include them in your training ๐โ๏ธ
โ

Explain why 'just running' is inadequate for marathon success and significantly increases your risk of injury and not actually making it to the start line ๐ข
โ
-
Explain why nutrition and hydration are so important during training and the race, and offer some advice and strategies for you to try ๐ฆ
โ
-
I will teach you the key simple exercises that you can do at home without any equipment to significantly reduce your risk of injury while running ๐ช
โ
-
Explain why mindset is so important and how you can use this to your advantage ๐ง
During this webinar I will:
Training for a marathon doesn't need to take over your life
